Centre Supervisor
Location: Bukit Panjang, Teck Whye
- Oversee and manage centre quality and operations
- Provide supervision, guidance and support to staff
- Build positive, friendly and supportive culture amongst staff
- Source and plan engaging activities and holiday programmes for children
- Plan character-building programmes
- Build good rapport with parents and stakeholders
- Identify, match and refer children and families to appropriate assistance (internal/other social service agencies) when necessary
- Engage volunteers and vendors
- Collaborate with other departments to provide programmes which meet children’s needs
- Prepare quarterly newsletter, KPI report and other reporting
- Experience mentoring children and youths
- Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Able to manage classrooms and guide children and youths
- Experience designing childhood curriculum
- Collaborative and able to engage family/caregivers of children
- Active listener, effective communicator and good decision-maker
- Minimum Polytechnic Diploma or higher
- At least 4 years of student care experience or experience working with children of primary school age
Student Care Teacher-Mentor (Full-time/Part-time)
Location: Bukit Panjang, Teck Whye, Woodlands
Classroom Management
- To observe, evaluate and document students’ performance and behaviour
- Adopt creative teaching techniques to engage and motivate the students in their learning
- Possess primary school content knowledge for Homework Guidance
- Implement effective routines for work, meal-time and play
- Ensure the safety and well being of the students at all times
- Use technology effectively for work and teaching. Able to use PowerPoint for presentations, Excel for basic formulas and calculations, and video-cameras to document students’ learning
Activity planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate programmes
- Oversee the smooth running of activities
- Plan and execute activities
- Monitor and evaluate sessions in line with session and activity goals
Partnerships with stakeholders
- Build positive and close working relationships with parents and relevant stakeholders
- Communicate effectively (both written & verbal) with colleagues, caregivers and volunteers
- Work cheerfully and collaboratively with all stakeholders to uphold professional conduct and organization values
- Work with children and their families (Assessment & Parent-Teacher Teleconferences)
Administrative
- Attend to enquiries, maintain proper records and prepare reports
- Keep accurate and up-to-date administrative and student records at all times
- Perform other administrative roles as assigned from time to time by Student Care Manager
Other Departmental Needs
- Support in other administrative and logistics as needed (e.g. call parents, write meeting minutes, etc.)
